Planning your trip around the balloon mornings
Allow two balloon mornings if you can. Balloons fly at sunrise, so each balloon morning needs a night in Cappadocia before it: with two, you have a first try and a backup if the first is cancelled.

How many mornings to allow
A balloon morning is a morning after a night in Cappadocia. One balloon morning is a single try; with two, the second is your backup; with three, you have one more chance.
Arrive in the afternoon and stay one night: one balloon morning, with no backup.
Arrive in the afternoon and stay two nights: two balloon mornings, a first try and a backup.
Arrive the evening before your first full day: that first morning is a balloon morning too.
Why your flight goes on an early morning
SkyPlan puts your flight on an early morning of the trip so that a later one stays free as a backup if it is cancelled. With two balloon mornings that is the first; with three, the better of the first two by our estimate. If you pick a morning yourself, your pick wins, and if the chance for your dates is low, the plan says so.
Any flight chance we show is an estimate. The official go/no-go for each morning is set under SHGM (Turkish civil aviation authority) rules and published by the Kapadokya Slot Service Center.
Tell the planner your dates: it picks your balloon morning and a backup, and plans the rest of each day around sunrise and sunset.
